\nBut I saw it walk streets, not far from my home.
\nNot as myth, not in books, not in leaders\u2019 commands,
\nBut in men turned to beggars with no helping hands.<\/p>\n
A boy I recall, not yet twenty in years,
\nHis eyes still held pride, though they shimmered with tears.
\nNo arms left to lift, yet his gaze wouldn\u2019t fall,
\nForced to beg in a world that had taken it all.<\/p>\n
The depth of his grief, I dare not pretend,
\nFor some pain speaks a language I\u2019ll never comprehend.<\/p>\n
They call it freedom, but it\u2019s theft of the soul.
